Shooting at Lee Kay
Details
Join us at DWR’s Lee Kay Public Shooting Range in Salt Lake City for some target practice. This is a chance to sharpen your skills shooting your rifle, pistol or personal defense weapon at 7-yard, 15-yard or 25-yard targets. We’ll be on a range designed for rifles and pistols (no shotguns) -- so grab your gun from under your pillow, inside your purse or bedroom closet, and join us. All guns must be unloaded and safe to handle. Bring bullets and hearing protection. Hearing protection is very important because we’ll be shooting from open booths with adjacent shooters. Adult day passes are $6.00. For information about this public shooting range operated by Utah’s Division of Wildlife Resources go to wildlife.utah.gov/lee-kay-shooting-center or phone 801-972-1326. We’ll meet inside the range office at 1:00PM. Lee Kay is a covered outdoor range, so dress for the weather.
Range Directions: In Salt Lake Valley drive 5600 West to 1730 South and turn west. Follow 1730 South west and around and Lee Kay offices will be on the right-hand side of the road after about three-quarters of a mile at 6000 West 2100 South. Park in the paved parking area, and meet us inside the range office. LEAVE YOUR GUNS IN YOUR VEHICLES. After registering in the office, we will relocate a short distance to our assigned range.
