Urban Trek: Cotton Bottom

This is an easy out-and-back trek along Big Cottonwood Creek to the Cotton Bottom. Beginning from the parking lot at the mouth of Big Cottonwood Canyon, our agenda is to ramble northwest along a paved urban trail adjacent to Big Cottonwood Creek past the Old Mill, to the storied Cotton Bottom Inn for lunch. Everyone will need to bring their ID as the Cotton Bottom is a beer bar known for their garlic burgers. Plan on about 1.9-miles each way with a 350-foot elevation differential. Everyone is free to stay and socialize, shoot pool, or enjoy sporting events on TV as their schedules allow. No dogs.

Meet Elliott at 10:00am at the west end of the Big Cottonwood Canyon Park & Ride located at the mouth of Big Cottonwood Canyon. Bring money for lunch and your ID.
