Wednesday Night Hike for Beginners - Twin Peaks

Avenues Twin Peaks is located along the ridge line behind the Avenues and is an easy destination that provides a nice view of the Salt Lake valley.

Description: There are multiple starting points for this hike. One of the most common, is at the end of N Terrace Hills Dr. (see Trailhead Location information below). The trail follows an old jeep road east from the end of the cul-de-sac, until reaching the pipeline junction. From here, there are multiple trails and a connection to the Bonneville Shoreline Trail. Pick the trail that heads uphill northeast and quickly gains the ridge looking down into City Creek Canyon. The jeep road continues east, ending at the two small peaks

Difficulty: Easy

Distance: 3.6 miles round trip

Duration: 2 Hours

Elevation Gain: 1100ft

Gear needed: Make sure to bring a headlight or flashlight. It can also get windy at the top, so bring a light jacket.

After the hike we will grab dinner & drinks at The Bayou on State St.
