Get together – get your bingo card – meet other photographers. Walk around together, wander around, take photos and try to finish the challenges. After the photowalk everyone can post their photo series in the event photo album in our new Clubhouse, so we can all see each other's results. No prizes, just for fun.

We will meet on the square in front of the library building at Neude and around 15:30 we will meet again at Mariaplaats. We can either walk as a group, or you can follow your own route in smaller groups. After the walk we could stop for a drink (optional, not included and at your own expense), share our results and talk photography.

Please note:

• The photowalk starts at the posted time. Try to be there early, but if you are running late... just find us. The link to live location of the group (via Google Maps) will be shared in the Event Chat in our Clubhouse at https://heylo.group/utrechtphotography.
• If you register for this photowalk and you can not make it, please update your RSVP!
• The photowalk could be cancelled or postponed in case of really bad weather.
• The end time is an estimate only; the length of the actual walk could be different from posted.
• Check before you go if all your equipment is working properly; lens cleaned, batteries charged, memory cards empty.
• Come prepared: wear comfortable shoes, bring water and a snack, check the weather forecast - and don't forget your camera
• The organisation is not responsible for any personal injury, loss, or damage to personal property during the photowalk. Participants are advised to have appropriate (travel/liability) insurance.
• During the walk, pay attention to your surroundings, traffic, curbs and people.
• Be respectful of residents, their property and privacy.

• Any type of camera is welcome.
• If taking pictures or making photos gives you joy, you are more than welcome!

Light Trail Photography!
Learn about this in advance, so you know what settings to use on your camera, bring your tripod and let’s create some interesting images.

We will meet on the square in front of the library. The walk will have four stops: Janskerkhof, Vredenburg, Catharijnesingel and finally walk towards Mariaplaats. We will spend about 20 minutes at each stop so you can setup your tripod/camera and have a few attempts to get a good shot. Depending of the amount of traffic/cars/busses/bikes passing us, we could stay longer or cut the time short per stop.
After the walk (optional) we could stop for a drink (not included, at your own expense) and share our results.

Because most of us will use a tripod and need more space per person, I have limited the number of people for this walk to 8. Please update your rsvp’s if you won’t be able to make it to this one, to give up your spot to anyone on the waitlist.

From January 8 to February 7, 2026, Utrecht’s station area will be illuminated by light artworks again.

“Lichtexpo I Light U 2027 vindt plaats van 8 januari tot en met 7 februari 2027 in het stationsgebied van Utrecht.
De kunstwerken zijn aan van 17.00 – 23.00 uur.”

We will meet in front of the Albert Heijn/TrainMore at Central Station (Stationsplein 28, @ the ‘Bollendak’) and follow the suggested route. The walk will be in a circle around the station area. After the walk we could stop for a drink (optional, not included and at your own expense), talk photography and share our results.
