Does the idea of speaking on a stage in front of a wide audience fill you with fear? Do you want to improve how you communicate your message? Fancy learning more about the art of public speaking? Utrecht Toastmasters can help you bring out the leader inside you.
Toastmasters is all about public speaking and improving your leadership skills. Toastmasters International exists since the 1920s. The first Dutch club was established in 2002 in Amsterdam. Utrecht Toastmasters was established in 2006. We've been quiet on Meetup for a while, but have always hosted biweekly meetings.
Our meetings are fun! Some of the participants give short prepared speeches, which are later evaluated by other club members. A typical meeting would also include short impromptu speeches, where everybody gets a chance to speak, including guests, if they wish. We always aim to create a safe and fun environment to practice public speaking.
Many of our club members are not on Meetup, so the number of people attending as indicated here is not reflective of the actual number of people attending on a night. On average, 15-25 people attend a club evening.
