About us
UX for Change was launched on March 8th 2015, at the Talk UX Conference in Manchester, UK, and is the first organisation of its kind. UX for Change emerged from the founder, Sandra Gonzalez, original challenge of how to mobilise the UX design community to get involved with the 2013 UK legislation that focused on teaching children as young as five how to code, but with no plans on teaching them how to design human-centred experiences for the improvement of their community and their own lives.
The organisation has been active for a decade across the world, and its focus has widened to meet new challenges focused on supporting positive social and planetary impact, such as utilising technology to aid refugees, providing internet safety tools and techniques for gender-diverse children, and giving consumers powerful information about their carbon footprint, to name a few.
The projects and ways in which the organisation engages the UX community have continually evolved depending on the needs and context. Still, at the core, UX for Change has always been about creating meaningful connections. We are committed to connecting the purpose-driven sector with the people interested in learning and applying responsible design practices while promoting collaboration, critical thinking, accountability, and social impact.
There are many UX for Change chapters around the world in London in the United Kingdom, Barcelona in Spain, Sydney in Australia, New York, Central Florida, Miami, and Los Angeles in the United States.

Why one-of-a-kind?
This isn’t just another training program; it’s the result of over a decade of global experience connecting the UX community with the purpose-driven sector. What sets this Fellowship apart isn’t just what you’ll learn or unlearn, but the meaningful social impact you can create in just three months.
The Responsible Design for Change Fellowship brings together four essential elements: a meaningful cause, personalised training in responsible design, a global network connecting like-minded peers, and you. Because it’s not just about what you learn, it’s about how, why, and with whom.
By the end, you won’t just earn a certificate — you’ll leave with a renewed sense of purpose, lasting connections, and real experience designing in ways that bring hope, dignity, and wellbeing to people while caring for the planet. It’s a shift in mindset as much as in skillset — and it stays with you.Which Track is best for You?
The Fellowship offers two tracks — Individual Contributor and Regenerative Team Leader — and the right one for you depends on your experience and aspirations.Individual Contributor - £ 390 + VAT (3 spots left)

You’ll join a diverse team of up to four people, each bringing unique strengths and learning goals — creating a space for growth, collaboration, and impact.Regenerative Team Leader - £ 875 + VAT (only 1 spot left)
If you’re an experienced UX designer curious about leading people, the Regenerative Team Leader track offers a powerful introduction to compassionate, holistic, and regenerative leadership.
