UX/UI Critique & Learn - New MVP created by Everett McKay

Details
Welcome to Ux Speakeasy! We're thrilled to have you join us for a fun and interactive evening of design.
Everett McKay, a long-time participant in our UX Meetups, has taken the entrepreneurship plunge and is developing a new UX metrics service. He is following the Lean UX process by developing an MVP (Minimum Viable Product) and seeking early feedback. By attending, you will be among the first to give that crucial early feedback on the product.
The general structure of this event will be as follows:
- Improving UX Metrics (10 minutes)
Everett will present the basics on effective UX metrics, focusing on NPS, plus how to avoid metric abuse, bias, and misleading results. While having good metrics is important for making informed UX design decisions, using them effectively isn’t as easy as everyone suggests. This part will frame the problem we are trying to solve. - Effective MPVs (10 minutes)
Everett will share experienced-based thinking about how to create effective MVPs and the various challenges with the Lean UX design approach. There are many practical challenges here, so again it’s not as easy as everyone says. This part will frame what you are about to see. - Teams Review the MVP (1 hour)
Everett will give a quick demo of the MVP. You will then work teams to review and critique the MVP. Teams can review any aspect of the MVP that they are interested in. - Feedback
Teams will present their findings and suggestions on how to improve the product. All feedback is appreciated!
Everett is looking for feedback from all roles and experience levels, so UX/UI designers, researchers, product owners, and especially developers and founders are welcome to attend.
Remember, the UX Speakeasy is all about learning and connecting, so please be friendly and respectful to one another. We welcome designers of all levels to join us and we can't wait to see what you come up with.
This event is not only a great chance to improve your design skills and practice your own design process, but it's also a fantastic opportunity to network and make new connections with other designers and UI/UX fans in the Burlington area.
This event is organized in collaboration with Everett McKay.
