ChatBTV: AI software development meetup

We're kicking off a new monthly meetup for Burlington's tech community focused on AI in software development!

We're living through one of the biggest shifts in our industry possibly ever. ChatBTV is a space for developers, designers, and tech folks to learn, share, and make sense of it together. No hype, no doom, just honest conversation from people in the trenches.

Dylan Farnsworth, co-founder and CTO of Boardwalk Marketing and solo builder of Thistle — an AI-powered parent support app — is joining us to share what it actually looks like to build production software with AI at the center.

Dylan has done it twice, at two very different scales: once with a small expert team, and once entirely on his own. He'll walk through how both apps were built, covering agentic code quality, key stack decisions, data safety, and when to reach for local models versus frontier APIs.
