UXZGB is hosting its next online meetup focused on designing AI products that create real value - not just noise. As organisations rush to integrate AI, designers are increasingly expected to guide not just the experience, but the direction itself. In this session, we’ll explore how UX and product designers can move beyond execution and play a more strategic role in shaping AI-driven products that are useful, trustworthy, and impactful.

2️⃣ Beyond the AI Hype: Designing for Real Value
(30 min) • Speaker: Scott Parker
AI is everywhere, and the pressure to add it into products and services is only growing. But not every AI idea creates real value. In this talk, Scott Parker explores how UX and product designers can move beyond the noise, ask better questions, and play a more strategic role in shaping AI experiences that are useful, trustworthy and genuinely worth pursuing.

About the speaker:
Scott Parker is a strategic design leader with 25 years of experience spanning brand, product, service and organisational design. Formerly Global Design Director at Cambridge University Press & Assessment, he has led design across complex, multi-team environments and helped organisations connect creativity with strategy, customer needs and business value.
