The Northeast Ohio StartupBus: UX and Entrepreneurs
Described as “equal parts boot camp and road trip”, StartupBus is
an annual competition designed to empower the tech community—challenging top tier talent to hop on a bus and conceive, build
and launch a startup in just 72 hours.
Jay Oldaker and Carrianne Tuckley had the opportunity to serve as
conductors on the Ohio Startup Bus for 2019, and will share their
experiences with us.
Riders from Ohio, New York, Florida, Silicon Valley, Washington DC
and Mexico spent 3 days on buses headed for New Orleans,
stopping along the way to practice and refine their pitches and
continue building their startups. Like any road trip, the
unexpected was commonplace...
About the Meeting
6:00 PM to 6:20 PM: Networking and food/drinks served.
6:20 PM to 7:15 PM: StartupBus presentation.
7:20 PM to 7:45 PM: Q+A and wrap-up.
About the Presenters
Jay Oldaker is the Lead User Experience Designer at Westfield Insurance. He’s focused on customer-centricity and innovation.
Carrianne Tuckley is a User Experience Designer at Westfield Insurance. She serves on the board of directors for UX Akron, and is the local organizer for World IA Day in Kent, Ohio.
