Working Faster, Thinking Further: Building Products with AI as an Assistant
·OnlineOnlineIn this session, Tony Moura will explore how AI can dramatically speed up app creation, prototyping, and iteration, helping designers move from idea to working product faster than ever.
We’ll look at where AI works best as a collaborator, co-builder, and creative accelerator; what happens when you push beyond prompting into real product development; and why imperfect outputs often become part of the creative process rather than something to avoid.
The conversation will also touch on what surprises people most once they begin building seriously with AI, where human instinct and judgment still matter most, and how AI can support rapid idea capture, nonlinear thinking, and exploring many possible directions quickly.
Along the way, Tony will also share insights from his own path from designer to founder, and what changes when design thinking starts meeting real execution at speed.
About our speaker:
Tony Moura works at the intersection of product design, UX, and AI, moving from idea to research, design, and production-ready execution faster than ever.
With six years of experience at IBM as Federal Garage Practice Lead and Senior UX Designer, Tony has led innovation programs that turn emerging technology into real business outcomes, including AI agent frameworks, multi-agent workflows, and Garage as a Service offerings that generated $22M in new projects.
His work combines systems thinking, strategy, stakeholder engagement, and hands-on experimentation to help teams move rapidly from concept to MVP while staying focused on what creates real value.
Outside of work, Tony is equally hands-on as a car enthusiast who enjoys building project cars and turning wrenches. He is also a professional kite flyer with 35 years of experience, having competed internationally and even appeared on the news flying as a hurricane came ashore!
