What we're about

Our Mission
We support the UX community in San Antonio by creating ways for people to connect, explore, and grow.
Our Goals
To serve as an active, responsive community for people interested or working in user experience. Support learning and growth for all levels of expertise.

Develop alliances to create opportunities for UXers and expand awareness of the benefits of human-centered design. Connect people in San Antonio’s robust UX job market.

Our Purpose
To provide a community of UX practitioners a place to:

1. Learn from each other to sharpen our skills
2. Supporting each other
3. Mentoring those new to the field
4. Give and get career advice
5. Share experiences
6. Explore use cases
7. Provide resources
8. Networking within the industry

We hope to do all of these things through a consistent agenda of speakers, presentations, discussions about tools, techniques, methods, and use cases.

Come join us and we are always looking for volunteers. Join the conversation on Slack. (https://join.slack.com/t/uxsanantonio/signup)

WHAT TO EXPECT: If you are a UX practitioner at any level, get on Zoom. We'll be talking shop. Talking or listening, you are welcome. So, grab your favorite beverage and join us for this informal, no-agenda conversation.

ABOUT THE MENTOR: Julie Jensen, UX Coach and Author
Julie Jensen knows the importance of harvesting feedback across disciplines. She’s led UX teams at Microsoft, USAA, Amazon, Los Alamos National Laboratory, Capital One.

She created a feedback formula to ensure the recipients and the givers share actionable, clear, and inspiring feedback about designs, documents, dashboards, and other deliverables.

Come learn the feedback formula that you can apply immediately – no lengthy training, expensive investments, or change management required. By the end of the session, you’ll be out of the nest and soaring with SQUACK.
