Designing Behaviors with the BJ Fogg Model

ABOUT THE SPEAKER:

John Griffin (or Griff as everyone calls him) is a design player/coach who loves to work with real users to create solutions that are simple, honest and clear. He is currently Director of Experience Design at Blue Cross of North Carolina and previously spent 12 years at USAA. When he isn't working, he is also a speaker, teacher and career coach.

As a proud generalist, Griff has always resisted becoming too specialized. He's worn lots of hats and speaks many languages fluently – designer, geek, marketer, executive, front-end developer and more. One of his passions is behavior design - understanding how and why people make decisions. Several years ago, Griff attended a behavior design bootcamp with BJ Fogg. That training radically transformed his approach to design. He loves to share what he learned with anyone who will listen.

Griff is a lifelong San Antonian (outside of a few years he spent in Raleigh). He and his wife Annette have 5 kids, 2 grandkids, and 1 spoiled beagle.
