The New Feelings of the AI Era

Join us for an evening of conversation around a few questions. How are our new AI tools shaping us right now, in big and small ways, both between us and inside us? And what can be done to hold onto our humanity as we plunge further into the AI era?

A tech emotionographer, an AI design leader and the architect of a working club for AI builders each make the case for designing connection on purpose.

Panelists:

• Pamela Pavliscak is a tech emotionographer, design researcher and founder of Subjective, where she studies the impact of emerging technologies on emotion. She is an author and faculty member at the Pratt Institute whose research has been featured in The New York Times, Fast Company and NPR. Pamela brings over a decade of experience in emotional design to her work with major global organizations.
• David Dewane is an architect and the executive director of Ferris & Co, a working club for AI founders based in Chicago. His work focuses on human flourishing in the workplace, evolving "high performance buildings" to prioritize the user experience of physical environments. With a background in ecologically and socially equitable design, David combines his experience in architecture, academia and entrepreneurship to explore the intersection of technology and the physical world.
• Casey Hudetz is Director of Product Design at Docusign, where he leads a team overseeing the company's biggest product bets and has been part of its AI evolution for five years. A three-time SXSW speaker, Casey has also keynoted at Design Matters Copenhagen, Gather Stockholm and UXCon Vienna on topics ranging from design and AI to filmmaking and storytelling.
