Hello friends ๐Ÿ‘‹
We're pleased to announce the UX Wales November meetup. This one will be in Cardiff, at our sponsor's office - Spindogs, in Cardiff Bay.

Note this event starts at 6pm, we can't let you in until then due to dayjob stuff happening at Spindogs.

Speakers
We've got 3 great talks for you folks in our November meetup. Talk titles tbc and speaker biogs to come, but in the meantime...

  • Chris Lamb will be delivering a talk for us. Chris is a Product Designer at Pizza Hut Digital & Technology, previously at Backbase.
  • Aditi Gupta will be doing a talk for us too - Aditi is a long time UX Wales supporter, and is a Content Designer at the University of Bristol.
  • Finally, we're excited to have a talk from Avery Taggart, first time speaker at UX Wales, talk title tbc!

Tickets
Tickets as usual are free but we are limited on space, so do only grab a ticket if you're coming. There will be a waitlist and we'll free up tickets in real time if any become available. You need a ticket to attend, however - if you're stuck and don't have one by the day of the event, contact Martyn or Cosmina via LinkedIn and we'll see what we can do.

Running times
Our event starts at 6pm (the venue isn't open until 6pm), but we've got a long networking lead in, where folk hang out and do social stuff - our talks begin around 6.45 usually.

Our sponsor
We're really excited to be sponsored by Spindogs, who are an excellent full-stack agency who really get the value of UX. We love you, Spindogs!

First timer?

  • Our meetup is one of the most useful, lovely ones out there - because of our community. We're one of the most diverse meetups in Wales, across professional discipline, culture, ethnicity, gender identity, abilty, age, everything. You are very welcome at our meetup.
  • Do read our code of conduct before you attend, because you'll be expected to follow it at all times.
  • Events labelled 'meetup' are always alcohol free networking and talk-based events, so they're great if you prefer not to be around alcohol for religious or personal reasons. Events labelled 'social' or 'socials' may sometimes (not always) be in a place where alcohol is served - check the venue info to be sure.
  • We try and provide food at our events (based on sponsor budget) and do our best to cater for dietary requirements - but we can't provide you with a list of allergens, detailed ingredients of food, where it is sourced and more. Find an organiser on the day if you've got any questions we can help with though.
