Uyo WordPress Meetup

do_action Uyo is a community-driven initiative where the local WordPress community in Uyo comes together to give back by building websites for nonprofit organizations.
This is planned as an annual event, bringing together volunteers who contribute their time and skills to support organizations making a difference across Uyo and Nigeria. All websites are designed and developed at no cost to the nonprofits.

do_action charity hackathons are organized around the world as part of the WordPress community. Each event focuses on helping selected nonprofits establish a strong online presence by building brand-new websites in a single day.

Who Can Participate?

Each website is built by a dedicated team of 5 to 8 people, working together across different roles:

• Project Managers
• Designers / Graphic Artists
• Content Writers
• Social Media Managers
• Developers (2 to 3 per team)
• QA Testers

If you are in Uyo or nearby and have experience with WordPress or digital skills, you are welcome to participate. Even if you are still learning, this is a great opportunity to collaborate and grow.

Participants get the opportunity to:

• Work in teams and learn from other creatives and developers
• Share knowledge and improve practical skills
• Contribute to meaningful causes in the community
• Connect with like-minded people and build new relationships

Meals and refreshments will be provided throughout the day, and participants will also receive branded event materials.
