Welcome to this Sunday picnic workshop in the City of Arts & Sciences

✨ BIRTH OF A SONG is a Songwriting Workshop for Everyone ✨
And we mean everyone. This event is open to absolutely anyone who speaks English — you don’t need any writing expertise or musical background.

All you need to bring is a notebook and pen (or even just your phone! unless you want to use this time to actually put your phone down, wink wink) — an open heart/mind, maybe a friend, and a little curiosity.
By the end, you’ll have written your own song!

✨ WHERE & WHEN ✨
On Sunday, September 21, we'll meet at 14:00 (2:00 PM) by the VALENCIA letters in the City of Arts & Sciences and proceed to our picnic location nearby. Feel free to bring your favorite beverage and snack(s). We'll keep it fun, comfy and casual.

✨ MEET HARISH BUDHWANI ✨
Harish is an award-winning singer-songwriter from India. He writes songs about love, life, and nature, and is passionate about creating and composing music. With millions (!) of views/streams on his songs, he is making a name for himself in this global industry. Currently, he is pursuing a Master’s of Music in Contemporary Performance at Berklee College of Music in Valencia and feels inspired to share the joy of songwriting with everyone! Over the last two years, this MeetUp community has grown to almost 3000 members who continue to explore the question "How do we fall in love with the city, each other, and ourselves?" through various events created or curated by Alexey Timbul. This songwriting workshop with Harish fits our ambitious adventurous agenda! If you have an idea for something to do together, please, reach out and let's keep bringing people together all over the place in our beloved Valencia, and beyond.

✨ COST ✨
This workshop is free to attend and enjoy. A hat will be passed at the end for welcome donations, but the point is to "just" share the universe of music together and make new friends.

As the days and nights come into balance, we invite you to celebrate the turning of the seasons. Let us gather in gratitude for life's harvests and a growing community. Traditionally, this is the time of giving thanks and releasing old patterns that no longer serve us. Join us for a beautiful Equinox Ritual, music, and potluck picnic.

WHAT IS THE AUTUMN EQUINOX?
The ancient significance of the Autumn Equinox centers on themes of balance, gratitude, and preparation for the coming winter. It marks the moment when day and night are of equal length, symbolizing a perfect equilibrium between light and dark, masculine and feminine, this and that, here and now. Equinox is deeply revered all over the world.

This time, also known as ‘Mabon’ is celebrated as the Second Harvest, a period dedicated to giving thanks for the abundance of the earth's bounty from the summer months. It serves as a crucial time for reflection on the year's achievements and personal growth, encouraging us to take stock of our own metaphorical harvest before the darker months begin.
