"BRING INNER CHILD TO WORK DAY!" with Ana Saut: Discover & Make Art
Parque Gulliver - Jardines del Río, Jardín del Turia, s/n, Valencia, ESWould you like to go visit your Inner Child? Artist Ana Saut invites you to do just that...
"Experiences that connect the dots in unusual ways" has been this group's motto/ethos since inception, and we are thrilled to offer such unique collaborations for y'all.
Ana Saut is an interdisciplinary contemporary artist (also trained as a psychologist) with 50+ exhibitions around the world, including the Venice Biennale. Yes, THE Venice mfk-ing Biennale.
Ana invites us to a private showing at her Valencia studio (!) to discover her works, hear behind-the-scenes stories from both the artistic process and the art world shenanigans, as well as to engage your own creativity with a small calligraphic/watercolor project you'd complete onsite.
We'll explore Ana's "Second Childhood" series, reflect on our journeys and (mis)adventures in the formative life stages, express and share whatever emerges in the moment.
This is a rare opportunity to visit a working artist's studio space and let your inner child mingle and co-create with others in a safe fun environment. With some wine :)
But first, we'll meet outside the Gulliver Park in Turia ...
RSVP: This event is limited to 10 people only due to available studio space. Please, RSVP with commitment.
COST: a suggested donation of 20 euros covers materials, instruction, and refreshments.

"What Am I Looking At?!" STREET ART WALKSHOP with Ely
Centre del Carme Cultura Contemporánia (CCCC), Calle del Museu, 2, Valencia, ESChristmas comes early for y'all this year. Street Art Walkshop is here!
Alexey is thrilled to intro Valencia's most enthusiastic street art enthusiast for a walkshop about who is what and when is where on the local street are scene. Meet Ely Tegart!Valencia got one of the most legit street art creds in Europe!
Scattered among historic buildings and secret alleyways, curated and guarded by very judgmental pigeons, the city is an open-air gallery.
Colorful, weird, poignant, silly, provocative, loud and half the time you're wondering "what exactly am I looking at?!"Ely studies, breathes, makes, and popularizes art. Ely is the One we've been waiting for!
Ely is a Canadian multi-disciplinary artist, (former) teacher, and professional over-explainer of simple things. Along this funtastic journey through El Carme we'll encounter massive murals, hidden paste-ups, graffiti culture, local artists, and the stories behind the walls people usually walk past without noticing.
Ever wondered what's the difference between graffiti and street art?
Curious about the techniques, symbolism, or legality of street art?
Want tea on the ongoing dramas in the urban art community?
Or, enjoy wandering around looking at cool things with cool people?
This is for you...Alexey will accompany the group to provide tasteful [...] jokes and ask stupid questions we're all thinking but too [...] to ask.
This walkshop is FREE. The hosts may pass the hat at the end, but the point is to enjoy Valencia, its street art and each other.
This walkshop is limited to 20-ish persons for logistical reasons but will be offered regularly. The next date is on Monday, June 22.
