VAMC Toastmasters can help you reach your goals. We are a diverse group with members at all stages of their Toastmasters journey, including several amazing mentors.
Speaking in Toastmasters provides new challenges and plenty of opportunities to be proud of your accomplishments. The more you expand your skills and talents, the more confidence you gain!
As a Toastmaster, you will: Become a more effective communicator and a great listener. Learn to give specific, positive, and helpful feedback. Practice time management skills. Speak to inspire, entertain, and inform. Become an expert at responding to impromptu questions. Lead meetings with assurance.
We meet 1st and 3rd Thursdays at the Minneapolis VA Health Care System (AKA Minneapolis VA Medical Center) located at One Veterans Drive, Minneapolis, MN. Guests are always welcome.
The building is easy to find. We usually meet in Room 1B-102. There is plenty of parking in the ramp. Enter the building from the ramp. Go straight until the hallway ends. Turn left to enter the Atrium. Our room is the first one on the right.
