OVERVIEW OF HIKE
We will meet at the Shannon Falls parking lot. If parking is not available, park in the overflow parking lot at Darrell Bay is across the highway from Shannon Falls. Parking at the base of the Sea to Sky Gondola is limited to 3 hours, which is not enough time.
From Shannon Falls, we will take the Connector Trail and then hike up a number of stairs, before taking a right on to the Sea to Summit trail, which will become quite steep after a short while with some rock scrambling required. Eventually, we will reach the top of Shannon Falls. Later, after crossing the ½ way marker, we will have a great view of Howe Sound. We continue the steep hike upwards, using a rope to pull ourselves up a smooth rock. From there, we don't have far to go until we are up at the lodge. After relaxing and taking in the scenery, we take the gondola down.
