INTERMEDIATE HIKE

Note: The old bridge crossing Brothers Creek along the Baden Powell Trail has been closed and the bridge at the Crossover Trail has limited use apparently. As a result, we will not be able to do a full loop and may need to hike off trail for a portion of the hike.

Join us on this beautiful hike as we hike up the mountainside of West Vancouver to Blue Gentian Lake, all the while hiking through some large Red Cedar and Douglas Fir trees. At the beginning of this hike, we will have a nice view of the Vancouver skyline before heading into the forest. MICROSPIKES OR SNOWSHOES ARE RECOMMENDED. Should be a great day! After the hike, for those who are interested, we will stop at the Village Taphouse for a drink and bite to eat.

Length: 9 km round trip
Elevation Gain – 350m
Hiking time – 4 hours

Driving Directions

We will meet at the trailhead. From Highway #1, exit onto Taylor Way and head north towards the mountains. After driving uphill a short distance, you will reach a series of roundabouts. Turn left onto Southborough Drive and a short distance later, make your first left onto Highland Drive. Continue heading uphill for just over a kilometer until you reach a stop sign at Eyremount Drive. Turn left here and shortly after, make a right onto Crestline Road. Turn left at the first street onto Henlow Road and then right on Millstream Road. Just up ahead, you should see a short portion of road that goes off to the left. This is where Brothers Creek Loop begins. When parking on the road, be sure not to block any driveways.
