Welcome to the Vancouver social deduction gamers group. I made this group because i'm a huge fan of games like mafia and i want to meet other people who love these games as much as I do. But whether you're an experienced player or have never played before, you're welcome to come check out some of our events and play with us.
If you're new to social deduction games or don't know what i'm talking about, here's a brief video that talks about how mafia is played

Other social deduction games might function different in some ways, but the core mechanics usually remain the same, with an uninformed majority players on one team trying to uncover each others loyalties so that they can vote out players who are on the team consisting of the informed minority.
Other popular social deduction games that we play include werewolf, Blood on the clocktower, resistance, Secret Hitler, and much more.

We will have at least one event every week and from time to time we will also play other social deduction games like resistance and one night werewolf. I look forward to meeting everybody!

Welcome back to our in person Saturday night mafia event! This is the beginner friendly version of the event when both new and experienced players are welcome to join us.
If you're joining us to play mafia for the first time, please familiarize yourself with the rules first to make sure that this sort of game is appealing to you. On Saturday nights we play a specific version of mafia often referred to as "sport mafia" which might be significantly different than what you're used to if you've played casual mafia before. The exact address for the event (very close to Burrard and Davie) will be messaged to you on meetup after you have signed up. For returning players, the address will be at the same place that we played at previously.
New players are welcome but if you're brand new to the entire genre of social deduction games then I would recommend you start out by checking out one of our biweekly Monday Night events where you'll have an opportunity to explore a greater variety of similar games in a setting with a lot of other new players.

Welcome back to our in person Saturday night mafia event! This event is for players who have already joined us at least once for a previous mafia event, or for people who have played this exact version of mafia before in the past. If you're new to this version of the game and would like to join us then don't worry, we alternate each week between these and "beginner friendly" events so check out next weeks event if you would like to participate! If you have joined us for a mafia event in the past then we would love to have you at this event even if you still consider yourself a beginner or think that you will need a refresher on the rules.
