Welcome to the Vancouver social deduction gamers group. I made this group because i'm a huge fan of games like mafia and i want to meet other people who love these games as much as I do. But whether you're an experienced player or have never played before, you're welcome to come check out some of our events and play with us.
If you're new to social deduction games or don't know what i'm talking about, here's a brief video that talks about how mafia is played

Other social deduction games might function different in some ways, but the core mechanics usually remain the same, with an uninformed majority players on one team trying to uncover each others loyalties so that they can vote out players who are on the team consisting of the informed minority.
Other popular social deduction games that we play include werewolf, Blood on the clocktower, resistance, Secret Hitler, and much more.

We will have at least one event every week and from time to time we will also play other social deduction games like resistance and one night werewolf. I look forward to meeting everybody!

Welcome back to our in person Saturday night mafia event!
If you've never joined us for Saturday mafia before, please familiarize yourself with the rules first to make sure that this sort of game is appealing to you. On Saturday nights we play a version of mafia called "Classic Russian Mafia" which might be significantly different than what you're used to if you've played casual mafia before. The exact address for the event (very close to Burrard and Davie) will be messaged to you on meetup after you have signed up. For returning players, the address will be at the same place that we played at previously.
This event is mainly for people who have some experience playing either mafia, werewolf, or similar social deduction games in the past as we find that people who are brand new to social deduction games don't usually have a good experience when they hop straight into this version of mafia which is meant to be played a bit more seriously. If you're new and haven't played games like this before, i recommend starting out by checking out either one of our biweekly Monday night events or one of our monthly Wednesday events where you'll be able to learn some easier games in a more casual setting with lots of other new players.
