Saturday Night Mafia (Beginner Friendly)
Details
Welcome back to our in person Saturday night mafia event!
If you're joining us to play mafia for the first time, please familiarize yourself with the rules first to make sure that this sort of game is appealing to you. On Saturday nights we play a specific version of mafia often referred to as "classic mafia" which might be significantly different than what you're used to if you've played casual mafia before. You can read about the rules here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ysETmGI20xZWLbevXsWT5D00cs_-mQrQLD6mCB-GjkE/edit?usp=sharing
Or if you'd prefer to watch some of our games to get a feel for what it's like then you can find some past games that we've uploaded to youtube here: [https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCoPrO5kjaSGE8jiWbvSMHUg ](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCoPrO5kjaSGE8jiWbvSMHUg)or check out this playlist of some of our past English mafia tournaments here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLBXmODcbqu4uEw_x2AFNXn7MjalgrVu7V
The exact address for the event (very close to Burrard and Davie) will be messaged to you on meetup after you have signed up. For returning players, the address will be at the same place that we played at previously.
New players are welcome but if you're brand new to the entire genre of social deduction games then I would recommend you start out by checking out one of our biweekly Monday Night events where you'll have an opportunity to explore a greater variety of similar games in a setting with a lot of other new players.
If on the night of the event you have any questions or have difficulty finding the location then feel free to send me a text to 604 374 6208.
FAQ:
Q: Is it ok if I need to arrive late or leave early?
A: Sure, but if you'll be playing with us for the first time then I recommend showing up before 7:15 so that you can be there when we go over how the game works.
A: Of course, you're welcome to leave whenever you want to.
Q: Do I need to bring anything like food or drinks?
A: Completely up to you. We try and supply plastic cups and tap water is available, but you're also welcome to bring any other food or drinks for yourself or to share.
