Theme-Based Potluck: Polish this Month
Details
This is an event for people who like to cook! Everyone who signs up for the event, including guests, will bring a different homemade Polish dish to share with the others.
Please bring a vegan dish, with at least 8 servings (=8 big scoops). Vegan means no dairy, eggs, honey, gelatin, whey/casein, or other animal byproducts. Please bring an ingredients list for your dish.
Also, please bring a plate, cup, napkin, and cutlery for yourself, and a serving utensil for your dish. (a bag for your dirty dishes would be useful, too).
Confirmed Dish List (more to come):
Jon: Sernik Wegański (cheesecake)
Mila: Piernik (gingerbread)
Melissa: Crepes
Monica: Pierogis
Nancy: Borscht
Norm: Cucumber Salad
Joanne: Ogórkowa (sour cucumber soup)
Jennifer: Gołąbki (baked cabbage rolls)
Pascal: Bigos (stew)
Ari: Haluski (pasta and cabbage)
Marcia: Zurek (rye soup with potatoes)
Marc: Buckwheat Patties with Mushroom Sauce
Bo: Sweet Cheese Rolls
To ensure that we each bring a different dish, I will be contacting all attendees. If you have a favourite vegan Polish recipe, we'd love to try it! If you need inspiration, you could try something from one of these websites:
