Join us every other Wednesday for a free ongoing Theravada Buddhist meditation group exploring meditation and the Buddha's teachings on ethics, concentration and insight.
Our evening follows this format:
• 30 minutes of meditation
• 20 minutes watching a video by a Theravada Buddhist monk
• 30 minutes of meditation
• Talking Stick discussion
The Talking Stick gives everyone an opportunity to speak and share their thoughts and experiences while others listen. It provides a relaxed and respectful way to discuss meditation, Buddhist teachings, consciousness, and our experiences with practice.

### Learn & Practice Together

Organizer Brian has taught Buddhism and meditation since 1996 and is the author of several books on Buddhism and meditation.
Members of the group will receive a free copy of Brian's book, A Short Walk on an Ancient Path.

This is an ongoing group, so you can join at any time. You can use any meditation technique you prefer.
Although this event is being posted through the Vancouver UFO Group, this is not a UFO discussion group. It is a Theravada Buddhist meditation group. However, consciousness is also central to many of the deeper questions about mind, reality, and human experience.
Come regularly, meet others interested in Theravada Buddhism and meditation, and develop your practice together.

## Location

Brian's Apartment — East Vancouver
#311 – 3640 Victoria Drive
Buzz: 47 — B. Ruhe
The building can be difficult to see because it is hidden behind tall bushes. Look for the small “Chelsea Manor” sign on the sidewalk, with stairs beside it leading to the narrow front entrance.

### From Commercial-Broadway SkyTrain

Take the bus south on Commercial Drive. Get off near the intersection of Commercial Drive and Victoria Drive (Victoria Diversion). The building is across the street from the #20 bus stop.

### From Nanaimo SkyTrain

Cross Nanaimo Street and walk down Stainsbury Avenue to Victoria Drive. Turn right and walk one block past Hull Street.

### By car

Access the building by the alley off Hull Street or the alley off 19th Avenue. There is free guest parking, as well as free street parking on Hull Street, Victoria Drive, and 19th Avenue.
There are two buildings. After I let you in, turn left through the door and walk down the hallway to the second building on the north side. I am on the top floor.
Please use Google Maps to find the location. If you have difficulty finding the entrance, call Brian at 778-232-2282.
