Could Artificial Intelligence change the way humanity understands — and eventually experiences — ET contact?
We used to Meet at WAVES Coffee so we'll try it again. The Vancouver library can be expensive for parking for those with cars. WAVES offers free parking on 7th and 8th Ave.
AI is developing at an extraordinary pace, while reports of UFO encounters and contact with non-human intelligence continue to raise profound questions.
Could advanced ET civilizations already possess forms of intelligence far beyond our current AI? Could AI help us communicate with non-human intelligence, decode possible extraterrestrial signals, or reveal patterns hidden in UFO and contact reports?
We’ll explore:
🤖 AI Today — What can artificial intelligence already do, and where is it heading?
👽 ET Intelligence — Could advanced extraterrestrial civilizations use AI, artificial beings, or forms of intelligence we don't yet understand?
🛸 UFO Contact — Could AI become a bridge between humanity and non-human intelligence?
🧠 Consciousness — Is intelligence necessarily biological, or could consciousness exist in forms radically different from our own?
🔮 The Future — How might AI and ET contact intersect as both technologies and our understanding of intelligence continue to evolve?
We’ll consider ideas from UFO experiencers, researchers, AI developments, and theories about advanced extraterrestrial civilizations.
Could the next great step in ET contact involve not just humans meeting aliens — but humans communicating with forms of intelligence beyond anything we have previously encountered?

The Contact Circle – Human Contact. Cosmic Contact.
We begin each meeting by sitting in a circle and giving everyone who wishes an opportunity to introduce themselves and share their thoughts.
You might mention a video, a past UFO sighting, an interesting book, a personal experience, a scientific discovery, current events, consciousness, or simply ask a question you've been wondering about.
There is no pressure to speak. Listening is always welcome.
3:30 – 3:50 pm
Organizer Brian Ruhe introduces the evening's discussion and presents some of the key questions we'll explore together.
3:50 – 4:30 pm
Open group discussion, questions, and the sharing of ideas.
4:30 - 5:00 pm
Group can stay on topic or go in other directions.
5:00 – 5:30 pm
Announcements & Social Time
We'll wrap up with announcements, upcoming events, and an opportunity to get out of your chairs, mingle, and get to know one another. WAVES is open to 6:00 pm so we can stay longer.
Our goal is not to convince anyone what to believe. Instead, we encourage respectful discussion, open-minded curiosity, and critical thinking as we explore one of humanity's greatest mysteries.
