CHRISTMAS LIGHTS Walk - Downtown Vancouver - Stanley Park - West End

Choose between 10 km and 6 km routes.

Our walks are restricted to club members who have paid $15 for a 12-month membership. However, if you would like to try one or two walks before committing yourself to a paid membership, you do have that option. Walkers will register (sign in) at the start point between 3:30 pm and 3:55 pm The walk will start at 4:00 pm sharp. Please be on time; we do not wait for latecomers.

Route Description:
A special evening Christmas Lights walk through Downtown Vancouver. We will start the walk with a visit to the LIGHTS OF HOPE at St. Paul’s Hospital. Onwards to Robson Square and down Burrard St to Canada Place. Then up the living green roof to see the CHRISTMAS MARKET at Jack Poole Plaza. Walk along the Seaside Greenway (Seawall), to the beautiful marina in Coal Harbour, passing Westin Bayshore Hotel. Return via Beach Avenue with options to have dinner in the English Bay area.
· Wear reflective and/or bright clothing and bring a flashlight (so you can read the route instructions).
· The 6K route will not go to Coal Harbour, Westin Bayshore and Beach Avenue.

Immediately following the walk, you may wish to join some of your fellow club members for dinner at the designated eatery nearby.

NOTE: Once you have RSVP’d, Meetup will always show your status as “Unpaid”. This is not a cause for concern. The $1.00 participation fee for the walk is paid at the start point and to save us some work, we will not be recording on Meetup that you have paid it.
