The Cedars aka Salmon Morgan Creeks Walk

This is a scout walk/hike, so it will be more of an exploratory experience than one of our regular walks. Expect more stops, pictures, and time spent exploring as we learn the trail better.

I will arrive about 10 to 15 minutes early to socialize and help anyone who has questions or concerns. Newcomers are encouraged to arrive early so we can meet before the walk and I can introduce you to some of the people who are already there.

We will usually start walking between 11:02 and 11:05, depending on when the group is ready. When we leave, we will post the exact departure time in the event comments so anyone running behind knows when the group started walking.

The main trail is an easy 1.3 mile forest loop through old growth trees, creeks, ferns, and quiet woodland. We will complete approximately 1 to 3 laps around the loop at an easy, conversational pace.

This is a choose our own adventure walk. There are several side trails along the way that we may explore depending on the group’s interest, trail conditions, and available time.

Distance: about 1.3 to 4 miles, depending on the number of loops and any side trail exploration.
Pace: easy and conversational.
Surface: mostly dirt forest trails with roots and occasional muddy sections.

There are plenty of areas where tree roots cross the trail, so please watch your footing and pay attention to where you’re walking.
