Partir Un Jour at Alliance Francaise theatre on Cambie St

Details
Let’s watch a cute French movie & check out the new ‘Alliance Francaise’ Arts building on Cambie Street, near Canada Line station. This new Cannes selection was directed by Amelie Bonnin.
This looks like a combo foodie/light musical/romantic film. Let's find out!
As Cécile prepares to open her own gourmet restaurant and finally fulfill her dream, she has to rush back to her hometown when her father falls ill. Far from the hustle and bustle of Parisian life, she unexpectedly crosses paths with her childhood love; memories resurface, and her certainties begin to waver.

“Genuine emotions and true relationships, capturing the spirit of a small community as a joyful space for freedom and decision-making…sharp twists…balances bittersweet truths beautiful…immensely charming”.
The new, beautiful Alliance Francaise building opened last year and offers arts, language & cultural programs celebrating everything French. It's located a 6 min walk from the Langara/49th Canada Line. There is paid underground parking. I'm not sure about the street parking situation.
Let's meet in their lobby cafe at 630 pm, before the film begins for a quick snack & conversation. Then we can walk into the theatre to get seats together. Please arrive early, as we won't be able to save seats. I will update the message stream with our seat location.
After the film, we can have a short chat about the film in the lobby, or simply share your comments in the meetup message stream later.
Hope to see you there! A bientot!
