Let's see a unique kind of haunted house thriller on Halloween week...Good Boy is a visually striking, chilling independent horror film. Trailer: https://youtu.be/q4-CRkd_74g?si=5V0HAifCma3Iu2oq

When his owner Todd begins succumbing to the dark forces swirling around their new house, dog Indy must battle a malevolence intent on dragging his beloved Todd into the afterlife.

The star is director Ben Leonberg's very talented dog whose performance is worth the price of admission.

"Hair raising & heart breaking" Be warned & bring tissue, this film can apparently cause sobbing. (guessing there's some ghostly animal cruelty, so be prepared)

The Rio Theatre is a charming independent theatre located a 4 min walk from the skytrain.

630 pm Good Boy (2025, English, 75 mins) Info/buy your tix($16 or less) here:

Arrive by 6 pm to sit with the group. We'll meet/sit on the 2nd floor balcony level, 2 or 3 rows back from the front. As it's easy to find each other up there.

After, we'll likely go to St. Augustine's Pub for a snack to discuss the movie. If you might like to join for this, msg me directly, as I'll try to make a rezo.

Tomatometer: 89%. "eschews genre conventions to deliver a uniquely haunting and conceptually ambitious experience.".
