Please read all below:
- This is a self-directed social play event without the expectation that a facilitator is present. *We may organize a volunteer facilitator for certain dates. If you are interested in becoming one, fill out our volunteer application form. No tennis teaching experience is required.
- Courts are not reserved for play and we follow all posted park rules regarding play time.
- Bring your own tennis balls and equipment. VTS is not responsible for lost balls or equipment.
- Post the court number you're playing on in the comment section for people arriving late.
- Public tennis court rules state that people must give up their court to a group of a maximum of 4 people after 30 minutes. Likewise, we must give up any tennis court to people waiting after 30 minutes.
Inclusivity:
- City of Vancouver park rules state that self-organized, level-based events are not allowed on public courts, so this event is not categorized by level of play.
- Therefore, fully expect that people attending will be at different skill levels and be ready to play with any skill level.
- Please be inclusive of everyone attending, no matter their current skill level, and especially welcome those new to the sport.
