The business landscape of instant delivery services is evolving rapidly and optimizing logistics operations is a big part of it. The main goal is to deliver the ordered goods to the end-customer as fast as possible by optimizing the transportation routes and schedules of delivery vehicles.

However, developing a dynamic, cloud-based system which enables instant intra-city deliveries is a challenging task. The system has to guide the fleet automatically while seamlessly adapting to ever-changing real-time conditions. On top of that, for it to be useful, it has to be easily integratable with various 3rd party services such as web stores and courier systems.

In this talk, you’ll find out how we tackled the challenge of designing such a system, how to make it scalable to larger delivery fleets and what to watch out for when connecting it into a real-world ready solution.
