Aladdin Cafe! Middle Eastern Food!

We'll be in the 39th street area having Middle Eastern at Aladdin Café. If you've never had Middle Eastern food, this is a great veg friendly choice. Think hummus & pita bread, dolmas (aka grape leaves), baba ghanoush, roasted red pepper / genie dip, falafel sandwiches, and some of the best red lentil soup you've ever had... if you're not one of our vegan members they also have some tasty phyllo dough krass pastries.

Pita bread is often vegan, as is theirs. If you go for the salad make sure to remember that they put feta cheese on it, you can also order the Jasmine's Platter (with assorted items) vegan style with out feta cheese or krass pastries and get more of something else instead.

They have seating for about 70 people with the patio (about 20)... given the weather we will be inside. We keep it capped lower to avoid conflicting with their regular guests.

We will be ordering from the menu, they have some great sandwiches and such, an interesting roasted cauliflower dish (Zahra,) a simple rice and lentil dish, as well as assorted individual items. I highly recommend the Jasmine's Sampler platter vegan style!

This is one of the best local Mediterranean restaurants. We do have several other good places in town though! If you're South, check out Holy Land Café or Meddy's! Jerusalem Café is another good option.
