LET US KNOW YOU'RE COMING: https://dash.pointapp.org/events/505804

Join us for our monthly volunteer meeting and potluck to watch the second half of "Five Decades – One Mission," a powerful six-part documentary series produced by FARM (Farm Animal Rights Movement). The series features interviews with ten early leaders of the movement and explores the roots, growth, and lasting impact of animal rights activism in the United States.

The 3.5-hour documentary commemorates two pivotal events from 1975: the publication of Peter Singer’s Animal Liberation, which introduced the concept of animal rights to America, and the World Vegetarian Congress in Orono, Maine, which helped bring early activists together. Through interviews with Peter Singer, Freya Dinshah, Alex Hershaft, Victoria Moran, Jim Mason, and others, the series traces the movement’s origins, early campaigns, influential publications, and honors key pioneers whose work shaped the movement we’re part of today.

We’ll enjoy good company and tasty snacks while watching the second half of the series, followed by an in-depth discussion on the importance of these early actions made by animal heroes and how we got to where we are today. If you didn't make it to the February Volunteer Meeting to watch Part 1, you can still attend March's Meeting! Or you can purchase the series yourself and watch the first half here: https://fivedecades.org/?mc_cid=4022c0e2c9&mc_eid=8fadc2559d

Everyone is welcome—you don’t need to be vegan to attend ARC events.

Food and beverages will be provided, and we’d love it if you brought a vegan dish to share!
