What we’re about
Welcome to the MN Animal Rights/Vegan Meetup (previously named ‘Minneapolis Vegan Meetup’) sponsored by the Animal Rights Coalition (ARC)!
ARC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that works to end the suffering, abuse, and exploitation of non-human animals through information, education, and advocacy. This group was created to bring together the Minneapolis plant-based community and the animal rights community. We engage in both advocacy and social events to educate others about animal rights and veganism. Join us to advocate for animals at a peaceful protest, community outreach, leafleting, or Cuddle Coats Prep Session. Stop by our monthly volunteer meeting & potluck, dine outs, pop-ups or movie screenings to meet other vegans and like-minded people. All are welcome to attend ARC events! You do not need to be vegan or vegetarian or have previous experience advocating for animals. We hope to see you at an event soon!

Please join us in protesting SeaQuest's cruelty to animals! SeaQuest aquariums are plagued by animal welfare issues, animal deaths, legal violations, and injuries to employees and the public from direct contact with animals. The company continues to be hit with neglect allegations, often from former employees, and it’s notorious for exploiting animals for entertainment.
Signs will be provided but you're welcome to bring your own as long as it's consistent with our message.
We will be on public property near the mall, please see the map: https://goo.gl/maps/AxNyNXBiDHXXMgkDA
You can park in the side lot, just a crosswalk away from where we'll be standing, near Portillos.
Local news, KSTP, has covered SeaQuest's animal exploitation, neglect concerns, and has given a voice to previous employees:https://kstp.com/.../internal-records-raise-questions.../

Join us for a peaceful protest against Four Paws and a Tail, on public property near Northtown Mall, 398 Northtown Drive NE, Blaine, Minnesota from Noon - 1:30PM.
Meet us at the intersection of County Road 10 and Jefferson, on the grassy area in front of Chipotle, under the large red Cub Foods sign. You can park in the Chipotle lot or the large lot near Chipotle. Signs are provided but you're welcome to bring your own!
We oppose Four Paws and a Tail's business model of buying companion animals from large-scale, commercial breeding facilities and selling them to the public. We also oppose the idea that because a breeding facility is USDA licensed, it is also ethical. With the holiday season upon us, it's especially important to spread our message!
