What we’re about
Welcome to the MN Animal Rights/Vegan Meetup (previously named ‘Minneapolis Vegan Meetup’) sponsored by the Animal Rights Coalition (ARC)!
ARC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that works to end the suffering, abuse, and exploitation of non-human animals through information, education, and advocacy. This group was created to bring together the Minneapolis plant-based community and the animal rights community. We engage in both advocacy and social events to educate others about animal rights and veganism. Join us to advocate for animals at a peaceful protest, community outreach, leafleting, or Cuddle Coats Prep Session. Stop by our monthly volunteer meeting & potluck, dine outs, pop-ups or movie screenings to meet other vegans and like-minded people. All are welcome to attend ARC events! You do not need to be vegan or vegetarian or have previous experience advocating for animals. We hope to see you at an event soon!
Visit ARC’s official website.
For more volunteer opportunities, visit ARC’s Volunteer Network & sign up for our monthly volunteer email.
Programs of ARC:
- Vegan University: ARC’s program designed to help you go – and stay – vegan in a way that works for you! Vegan University offers free online Nutrition, Meal Planning, Eating Vegan on a Budget, and Help! I’m Going Vegan workshops, a free Vegan Mentor program, vegan grocery shopping tours, and local plant-based cooking classes. We’re here to help you get across that finish line in your transition to a plant-based diet!
- VegKins: VegKins is ARC’s social networking program for families raising vegan children. This program offers the opportunity to come together to exchange ideas and information with other parents and build a community of parents raising compassionate kids.
- Ethique Nouveau: ARC’s dual office space and vegan store, Ethique Nouveau, located in Minneapolis. Monthly volunteer meetings, Cuddle Coats Prep Sessions, movie screenings, and pop-ups are all held here!

𝗦𝗜𝗚𝗡 𝗨𝗣 𝗧𝗢 𝗩𝗢𝗟𝗨𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗘𝗥 𝗢𝗡 𝗣𝗢𝗜𝗡𝗧: https://dash.pointapp.org/events/363744
We're joining Friends of Roberts Bird Sanctuary at William Berry Woods to pull Creeping Bellflower (Campanula rapunculoides), a lovely flower but invasive species. Unfortunately, this species has a strong presence in the woods, especially in the southwest quadrant along Richfield Road, the edge of the turf area and the sidewalk. The plant's tubers spread and crowd out the native plant community that volunteers work hard to preserve and protect in these woods. Until a more permanent solution can be implemented, we work to remove flowers before they go to seed.
William Berry Woods is the small woodland between Bde Maka Ska and Lake Harriet, on the northern edge of William Berry Park. Bring your own gloves and drinking water. Meet at the southwest corner of the woods, near the intersection of Richfield Road and W 40th Street. Street parking is available for free. Even if you can't make it right at 5:00, please feel free to join whenever you're available!

Join us for ARC's Monthly Volunteer Meeting & Orientation — Wednesday, July 16th!Whether you're brand new to ARC or a longtime volunteer, we invite you to join us for an engaging evening where you'll get an in-depth look at our campaigns, programs, volunteer opportunities, social events, workshops, and more!
This is a great way to learn how ARC operates and how you can get involved in our efforts to create change. While attending an orientation isn’t required before volunteering, we highly recommend it — especially if you want to confidently share information about ARC at outreach events.
✨ Food and beverages will be provided! Feel free to bring a vegan dish to share if you're able.
Everyone is welcome — you don’t need to be vegan or vegetarian to attend. Just bring your curiosity, compassion, and willingness to learn!

RSVP Agreement:
Please make sure to keep your RSVP up to date and arrive on time. These dine outs often fill up fast with people added to the wait list. Please be fair to them so that they have a chance to see if they are able to attend. This is also important so that we can give restaurants an accurate number as they are often busy and holding spots for us which could have gone to other customers.I will send a reminder to everyone 3 days before the dine out. Canceling within 24 hours of the dine out time or not showing up will both count as a strike (unless you were on the wait list and were added because someone dropped out within 24 hours). If you get 3 strikes in a year you won't be able to attend future dine outs.
