About us
Welcome to the MN Animal Rights/Vegan Meetup (previously named ‘Minneapolis Vegan Meetup’) sponsored by the Animal Rights Coalition (ARC)!
ARC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that works to end the suffering, abuse, and exploitation of non-human animals through information, education, and advocacy. This group was created to bring together the Minneapolis plant-based community and the animal rights community. We engage in both advocacy and social events to educate others about animal rights and veganism. Join us to advocate for animals at a peaceful protest, community outreach, leafleting, or Cuddle Coats Prep Session. Stop by our monthly volunteer meeting & potluck, dine outs, pop-ups or movie screenings to meet other vegans and like-minded people. All are welcome to attend ARC events! You do not need to be vegan or vegetarian or have previous experience advocating for animals. We hope to see you at an event soon!
Visit ARC’s official website.
For more volunteer opportunities, visit ARC’s Volunteer Network & sign up for our monthly volunteer email.
Programs of ARC:
- Vegan University: ARC’s program designed to help you go – and stay – vegan in a way that works for you! Vegan University offers free online Nutrition, Meal Planning, Eating Vegan on a Budget, and Help! I’m Going Vegan workshops, a free Vegan Mentor program, vegan grocery shopping tours, and local plant-based cooking classes. We’re here to help you get across that finish line in your transition to a plant-based diet!
- VegKins: VegKins is ARC’s social networking program for families raising vegan children. This program offers the opportunity to come together to exchange ideas and information with other parents and build a community of parents raising compassionate kids.
- Ethique Nouveau: ARC’s dual office space and vegan store, Ethique Nouveau, located in Minneapolis. Monthly volunteer meetings, Cuddle Coats Prep Sessions, movie screenings, and pop-ups are all held here!

MN State Fair Outreach - Volunteer Opportunity
1265 Snelling Ave N, 1265 Snelling Avenue North, Saint Paul, MN, US𝗦𝗜𝗚𝗡 𝗨𝗣 𝗧𝗢 𝗩𝗢𝗟𝗨𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗘𝗥: https://dash.pointapp.org/events/731493
Join ARC to advocate for the animals at the MN State Fair! We'll meet across from the main entrance to hand out literature and educate the public about the animals exploited at the MN State Fair. MN Fair = Not Fair.
We'll have opportunities to hand out lit, rechalk the sidewalks, and wear the Soymilk Suzy, Brock Barnivore, and Peace the Pig inflatables.
We highly suggest taking the bus, Uber, bike/scooter, finding a ride, or walking if you live nearby to avoid trying to find parking at the State Fair, and to leave with plenty of time to arrive on time! Volunteers should also try to network for car sharing on the Slack group.
If you have an ARC shirt, we would love for you to wear it! If not, please wear black.𝗦𝗜𝗚𝗡 𝗨𝗣 𝗧𝗢 𝗩𝗢𝗟𝗨𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗘𝗥: https://dash.pointapp.org/events/731493

Protest Animal Rides at MN Ren Fest
12360 Chestnut Blvd, Shakopee, MN, USSIGN UP TO VOLUNTEER HERE: https://dash.pointapp.org/events/734559
The Renaissance Festival offers elephant, camel, pony, and llama rides. Join our protest to help raise awareness about these unethical attractions at the Ren Fest and encourage people attending to skip the animal exploitation and instead enjoy the activities that don't hurt animals.
Due to some parking snags, we've come up with a fun and easy solution to avoid risking your vehicle being towed or having to pay $25 for parking. So, now you'll meet us at Hy-Vee, 1451 Adams St. S, Shakopee, MN, in the lot facing HomeTown Bank. Then, we'll carpool in Amy and Kelsey's vehicles to the Queens Gate. Arrive around 11:30 - as we're leaving at 11:45 am from the Hy-Vee lot. You'll have to stay the entire two hours if you choose to carpool. You can register your vehicle and pay $25 at the gas station if you don't want to carpool from Hy-Vee.
Signs will be provided.
