VSDC Vegan Thanksgiving Day Celebration @Elife, Capitol Heights MD (3 to 5 pm)

Join VSDC for a Thanksgiving Day gathering (3 to 5 pm seating) at Elife Vegan Restaurant in Capitol Heights, Maryland. We are pleased to organize another gathering on this special day of gratitude, partnering with our good friends at Elife, an all-vegan and black-owned business. This event is on Thanksgiving Day - Thursday, November 23, 2023, from 3 to 5 pm.

The menu for the day will include more Thanksgiving-oriented items from which to choose. These likely will be:

- Sliced Mock Turkey
- Sliced Mock Ham
- Savory Sage Drumettes
- Maple Curry Drumettes
*Sides
- Stuffing with Cranberries
- Cornbread Dressing
- Mac & Cheese
- Collard Greens
- Kale Greens
- Candied Yams
- Fresh Cranberry Sauce
*Dessert
- Sweet Potato Pie
- Bean Pie
- Other cake slices too

VSDC is planning a fun and educational veg trivia game at the event so plan to participate!

VSDC has arranged 2 seatings with Elife. This meetup is for the second seating from 3:00pm to 5:00pm. (For the 1st seating from 12:00pm to 2:00pm, please see the separate meetup event page with a separate link.)

The registration and ticket purchase includes 2 entrees and 3 sides of your choice as well as herbal tea and a slice of pie/cake. The price is $45; tax and gratuity are additional. Please pay directly to Elife at the link above.

The location is Elife, 9033 Central Ave, Capitol Heights, MD 20743. Note: this is their new location as of November 2023, just a few doors down from their previous location. There is ample free parking in front of the restaurant.

Note: Public transportation does not provide easy access to this location, esp on Thanksgiving Day. If not riding in a car to the event, then uber or lyft could be a good option to Elife from the Metro Blue line. Please check your options well in advance and decide how you can attend.

**Please be sure to register and purchase a ticket ASAP - we expect seats to be taken quickly** Elife has a seating capacity of about 90 people.
