Vegan Trekkers Hike: rainy urban walk in Kentlands

Details

Let's visit Kentlands for a rainy (semi) urban hike. We will be visiting all seven lakes in the Kentlands and Lakelands area. And then heading to Dosa & Chaat for a munch (they have lots of vegan options especially vegan desserts).
Please note that it will be raining tomorrow per current forecasts, so dress accordingly.

Meeting Point for 6 mile option: on Inspiration Lane near Kentlands Green
Distance: ~6 miles
Meeting time: 11:45am
Pace: moderate (2.5-3 miles/hr)
Difficulty: easy
Duration: 2:30 hours
Type of trail: paved
Hiking Map: picture attached

Optional post hike lunch: Dosa & Chaat , Gaithersburg

Bathroom Facilities: at commercial areas nearby

Please do not attend if you are sick or have been near someone who thinks they may have or have been exposed to COVID-19.

Dog friendly?: Yes. Please keep your dog leashed at all times.

Food/Water: Bring your own vegan snack and (non-alcoholic) beverage to enjoy. Please carry plenty of water!

Weather: Be prepared! We will hike rain or shine, but if conditions pose a danger, we’ll cancel the hike and post a notice in the “comments” section. We suggest that hikers wear comfortable footwear and suitable clothing made from quick-dry, synthetic fabrics, as cotton can lead to uncomfortable blisters and life-threatening hypothermia in case of inclement weather.

For important updates regularly monitor the "comments" section below.
Don't be a no show! If your plans change, update your RSVP.
