HipCityVeg & National Portrait Gallery (Oprah Winfrey portrait)

Details
Note: This event is replacing a mostly-outdoor Holiday Lights Vegan Trekkers Walk that was scheduled at the same time - but due to a rainy weather forecast, we changed to a nearby indoor activity.
Let's meet at Hip City Veg 712 7th Street NW to order dinner at 5pm. We'll take our food to the nearby Kogod Courtyard (enclosed and heated) which is part of the National Portrait Gallery.
After eating, we'll visit the National Portrait Gallery - including the portrait of Oprah Winfrey (unveiled on Dec. 13), and, as time permits, other exhibits such as Forces of Nature: Voices that Shaped Environmentalism, and One Life: Frederick Douglass. The National Portrait Gallery closes at 7pm, so if you want to see a lot of art - don't be late!
By coming to this event, we expect you to follow the code of conduct found at Policies - VSDC - Veg Society of DC
VSDC is a clear and consistent voice for improving the lives of all beings through education on the benefits of a vegan diet & lifestyle. Sharing food is the bond that brings families together; so it is with VSDC. From simply “breaking bread” to experiencing delicious and nutritious vegan foods from around the world, we make your journey easier, enjoyable & meaningful.
VSDC. Creating communities. For your health, the animals, and the planet.
