VSDC Veggie Biking - Bethesda to Washington Monument (and back)

Please join us for a ride from Bethesda to Washington Monument via Georgetown and memorials.

We will be starting from the Park and Ride for Capital Crescent trail in Bethesda. From Georgetown, we will head towards the Tidal basin and touch Roosevelt, MLK, Lincoln, WWII memorials en route to Washington Monument. From Monument we will make our way back to Bethesda.

Post hike lunch will be at Rooted3. We can either ride there (the roundtrip from meeting point will add another 3 miles mostly on road) or drive.

Food/Water: Bring your own vegan snacks and (non-alcoholic) beverage to enjoy. Please carry plenty of water!

• Pets are not allowed
• Use of intoxicants such as alcohol, cigarettes and/or illegal substances is banned during this event.
• Practice safe biking habits including:
• Wearing a bike helmet
• Keeping a safe distance between each other (bikes don't have brake lights and tailgating can easily result in crashes)
• Avoid side by side riding unless the road gives us ample opportunity
