VSDC WFPB SOS Free Potluck

Details
Join the Veg Society of DC for a Whole Food Plant-Based SOS-Free Potluck! We look forward to sharing a meal and conversation with those interested in or living a WFPB SOS-Free lifestyle.
What is WFPB SOS-Free? A whole-food plant-based SOS-free diet includes whole grains, tubers, fruits, vegetables, legumes, nuts, and seeds. It eliminates animal products, salt, oil, sugar (SOS), and processed foods. For more information, check out this quick overview!
Please Bring:
- Please bring a dish that serves 6 - 8 people per person attending
- A serving utensil
- A copy of the recipe and include your name on it so people can identify who made each dish.
- A drink for yourself or one to share. Nonalcoholic, please.
- You can also bring your reusable plate, cup, and utensils to reduce waste.
- An oven and microwave are available on-site, but space is limited, so it will be reserved for a quick reheat rather than cooking.
What to Leave Out of Your Dish?
Please respect the diet and lifestyle choices of those attending by NOT bringing food containing beef, pork, chicken, turkey, fish, seafood, eggs, cheese, butter, cream, yogurt, or other dairy products, honey or gelatin, or other animal products or processed foods, salt, oil, or sugar.
Questions: Please contact wfpb@vsdc.org with questions about what to bring or if you want to help plan future WFPB events.

Weather: In case of bad weather, be sure to check the comments on this for any updates from the organizers on the morning of the event.
Sponsored By: This event is sponsored by the Veg Society's Whole Food Plant-Based Affinity Group. The affinity group offers those who want to engage with this lifestyle opportunities to connect, learn, and enjoy great food. The group gathers for potlucks, meals at Greenfare Organic Café, educational programs, and other outings. The WFPB Affinity Group is a part of PCRM's Building Healthy Communities Action Network.
Our Appreciation: We thank the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine for hosting this event at its facility and for its work promoting plant-based diets.
