Details

The Poplar Spring Annual Open House and Fundraiser is free and set for Sunday, September 21, 2025, from 1 to 4 pm Join VSDC and hundreds of people as the Open House features a live band, catered vegan food and drinks, and the opportunity to stroll around and visit the rescued animals. Again, there is no admission fee, but donations (of any amount) to Poplar Spring are very much appreciated. For further information, see their website.

Our group will meet at 2:15 pm to the right of the small gift shop structure to connect and hear from Terry Cummings, the co-founder, who will provide an overview of Poplar Spring and its residents. After that, we can enjoy a late lunch and visit with the animals.

Bring a chair, a hat, a water bottle, and anything else you need for this outdoor event.
