Laugh & Learn: Watch Improv Practice with a Purpose

Details
Join us to watch an engaging and dynamic session of improv "edutainment" practice! π
If you have improv experience, we might invite you to join us in a scene! Otherwise, you can watch our practice and engage with us as an audience member.
Be in Studio A and ready to start by 11:00 AM!
It's very important to wait until you are certain that you're attending before RSVPing YES. We need to have an accurate headcount in advance.
RSVP's:
YES= You can count on me because I'll definitely be there no matter what!
NO RESPONSE = Waiting to be certain before RSVPing.
NO = Not coming
We're gearing up for our third annual improv show at the Glenwood Library this fall on 10/4/25, where we'll creatively combine education on green lifestyle topics with entertaining skits and improv.
Content and Themes:
- We use material that's vegan-friendly, steering clear of jokes about animal harm or cruelty.
- We'll promote the environmental benefits of a plant-based lifestyle in our show. π±
Improv practice guidelines:
Only RSVP "YES" if You (and/or guests) are a Definite: Wait until you are certain before RSVPing YES. We had 8 no-shows & late-cancels for a practice, blocking spots for others eager to join. Late-cancels are an issue, especially when wait-listed people have a long drive. Let's ensure everyone who wants to be part of the fun gets a chance! π
Same Day RSVP is OK!: Feel free to RSVP the same day if you can make it and can't commit in advance. We love having you there!
RSVP on the Calendar Every Time: Don't be a Gate Crasher! If you know you're joining, RSVP on the calendar instead of just showing up. We can't have unlimited numbers, especially in smaller spaces. It also gives others a fair chance to join in.
RSVP Minimums: I need to know in advance how many people are coming so I can cancel the room reservation if needed. We need at least 3 people, ideally 5, to practice all the scenes. Room reservations are very limited, and late cancellations could revoke our reservation privileges.
Be Ready To Start On Time & Stay the Entire Time: Let's get the maximum amount of practice time so we can be fully prepared for the show! Also, let's respect each other's time and commitment.
Some Practice is Better Than None: If you have other scheduled commitments, you're encouraged to join for partial practices. Please tell me in advance what time frame you'll be there so I can plan accordingly.
Stay Off Your Phones: Let's keep the focus on our practice and make it count!
Thanks for your cooperation and enthusiasm. Together, we'll make this show unforgettable! πβ¨
Learning & Growth: here are some ways to learn and grow outside practice times:
- Improve Improv Skills: Attend Sol's workshops, Matt's classes, or free online sessions.

- Scene Development Discussions: Continue in the WhatsApp group.
- Other Learning: Books like "Tiny Habits" or "No Bad Parts."
- Sustainability Habits: Work on your own habits & share your experience.
