About us
Experience the quiet harmony of Kyoto through simple, seasonal vegan cooking. Our workshops are inspired by Zen and traditional Eastern philosophy, bringing awareness to how we cook, eat, and live.
Hi, I’m Akiko Haruyama.
I currently live in Hokkaido, where I run a vegan restaurant in Sapporo and also do food processing and organic farming in Mombetsu.
I created this group because I will be in Kyoto in 2025 to host pop-up events, fermented food workshops, and plant-based cooking classes.
My cooking and the concept of SALLOGA are deeply inspired by Zen philosophy — simplicity, warmth, balance, and the idea that food can support both body and mind.
Through fermentation and plant-based cuisine, I hope to create moments of calm, nourishment, and connection.
This group is for anyone interested in:
• Fermentation
• Plant-based cooking
• Japanese miso culture
• Zen-inspired food philosophy
• Local food, wellness, and mindful living
• Small friendly gatherings and workshops in Kyoto
I look forward to meeting you all in Kyoto and building a warm, peaceful community together.
