Wild Colorado Herptiles: An Educational Presentation at Doolittle Farm Sanctuary

Details

This presentation is inspired by our wish to better understand the scaly friends with whom we share our local environment, a place that we all call home.

Wild Colorado Herptiles presented by the Reptile & Amphibian Center of the Rockies (geared towards older kiddos and adults)

Description:
Explore the amazing reptiles and amphibians of our Northern Colorado habitats. Learn how to identify rattlesnakes and other non-venomous snakes, what to do if you see a snake on the trail, and how to stay safe while hiking. Discover more about the fascinating reptiles and amphibians that call this area home, and get to know the wild neighbors sharing our outdoor spaces!

Presenter:
Meet Kate Boyd, a wildlife rehabilitator and zoologist dedicated to protecting the unique reptiles and amphibians of Colorado. With a background in zoology, animal rescue, and wildlife rehabilitation, Kate has spent 10 years working with and advocating for the preservation of these fascinating creatures. As the Executive Director of the Reptile & Amphibian Center of the Rockies, they lead education programs, provide daily care for numerous rescue animals and animal ambassadors, and collaborate with local community groups to promote coexistence with our reptile and amphibian neighbors.

There will also be some delicious plant-based goodies for you to enjoy.
Space is limited so please RSVP if you'd like to attend and include how many children and adults. You can email us at doolittlefarmsanctuary@gmail.com.

We have some chairs but we ask that you please bring blankets or chairs to accommodate everyone and make sure everyone is comfortable.
