Hear Farm Sanctuary President and Co-founder Gene Baur speak about his national best seller, Farm Sanctuary: Changing Hearts and Minds About Animals and Food, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Cleveland State University in Student Center Ballroom (3rd floor, Room 311), located at 2121 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44115-2214.
After Gene Baur's talk we will have a panel discussion with Anya Todd, vegan dietician; Joy Lasa Karuna, founder of LASA sanctuary; Yi-Hsin Frances Cheng, PHD medical scientist; and Joshua Sias, philosopher/ethicist. Our panel will be taking any questions the audience has concerning a vegan lifestyle.
We will also have a raffle for a framed piece of photography by Rachelle Farren as well as a donation box with a suggested donation of $3. All funds from this will go directly to Farm Sanctuary!
The event is free and open to the public. Complimentary vegan desserts/refreshments and beverages will be offered:
BreadSmith-- 2 loafs of sunrise dessert bread and 1 loaf of cinnamon raisin dessert bread
Good Greens-- 200 good bars (11 different flavors), gluten-free
Good and Raw-- 12 boxes of kale chips (pizza, ranch, and chizee flavors), gluten-free
Liquid Planet-- 1 jug of banana strawberry smoothie, gluten-free
Luna Bakery Cafe-- 50 mini cherry brownies
Mo Bites-- 1 sheet of chocolate marble cake (gluten-free), 1 sheet of carrot cake, 1 bowl of peach cobbler
Plant Kingdom-- 100 mini banana walnut muffins (low-gluten; spelt)
Pure Delite-- 100 mini cupcakes (chocolate peanut Butter, coconut, carrot cake, raspberry ganache)
The Root Cafe-- hot tea, cold tea, and coffee!
