Vegan Murder Mystery Dinner Theater
in a private residence. 😎
This is the 3rd time I’m hosting Joshua in SoCal, however I’ve been hosting his unusually tasty dinner parties for over 15 years.
Menu:
*********Mushroom oysters in purple potato shells with mignonette (shallot sauce)
*********Italian Wedding soup (pasta, greens, mini meatballs) with red lentil and sweet potato chaud -froid (a tasty terrine encased in rich sauce), buckwheat spice crackers
*********Taro chickpea filet with green sauce (herbs, chives, capers)
*********Pumpkin seed tofu à la chasseur (rich tomatoes, mushroom & wine sauce) with seasonal vegetable, bread
*********Mini dessert trio- eclair, tarte tatin (apple), plum crisp
An original menu on the Orient Express in the 1880s consisted of oysters, Italian soup with pasta, a game chaud-froid, turbot in green sauce, chicken à la chausseur, and a dessert buffet among other things. This menu is a playful vegan take on that mysterious and murdery menu.
Can easily do gluten free.
