The Austin Vegan Association (AVA) is Austin’s longest-running plant-based community, proudly serving as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit since 1996. Founded as the Vegetarian Network of Austin, later known as the Austin Vegan & Vegetarian Association, today our mission is to make vegan living more accessible through social gatherings, educational events, and support for local vegan-friendly businesses.
AVA is open to anyone interested in compassionate, sustainable lifestyles.

🌱 Dinner at The Vegan Yacht 🌯
The Vegan Yacht, 2000 Southern Oaks Dr, Austin, TX, USJoin us March 18th at The Vegan Yacht for one of Austin’s most iconic plant-based spots, known for bold flavors, hearty portions, and serious comfort food energy.
The Vegan Yacht is Austin’s longest-standing family-owned plant-based gem. Founded in 2010 by Mike and Danielle Wood, this iconic spot began in a 1967 octopus-adorned Airstream Land Yacht before moving into their brick-and-mortar home in 2020.
Their focus? Organic, non-GMO comfort food that even carnivores line up for. If you love bold flavors, nostalgic comfort food vibes, and supporting local vegan pioneers, this one’s for you.
