Joint Vegan Potluck Dinner with the "Veganistas"
Details
We are inviting everyone to a special joint potluck this Saturday with a local group called the "Veganistas", who are affiliated with the First Unitarian Universalist Church of Austin.
To be clear, this will be a totally non-religious event, it just happens to be in the church's gathering space. Its all about the food and meeting new people. The First Unitarian Universalist Church of Austin is a welcoming, non-creedal spiritual community. For more information on them, please visit AustinUU.org
Children are welcome. This is a "regular" vegan potluck, no requirements for the dishes other than being vegan.
To find Howson Hall, go to the end of Grover Ave, and you'll see the entrance to the church straight ahead. Go past the first parking lot on the right, then turn at the second right to park at the lot at the front of the church. Howson Hall will be across the courtyard.
All attendees must bring a VEGAN dish that can serve 8. Couples can choose to bring two dishes or an extra-large dish. Please try not to bring just a snack like chips or nuts. It'd be great if you could bring a notecard that lets people know if there are any allergens like nuts or gluten. You also should bring a serving utensil, as well as your own plate, utensils, and beverage.
We are a warm and welcoming group, open to all, especially first time attendees, new vegetarians and vegans, the "veg-curious"... You don't have to be vegetarian at all, we welcome omnivores. Our potlucks are free for anyone to attend, you don't have to be an AVVA member.
