We are so pleased to have Will Tuttle, Ph.D., deliver an inspirational talk based on his spectacular, award-winning book, The World Peace Diet - Eating for Spiritual Health and Social Harmony. He will discuss how food affects us physically, culturally, and spiritually, and how to make positive changes that promote wellness, encourage wisdom and abundance, and minimize our eco-footprints on the earth. The talk places a fundamental emphasis on a vegan way of living and will be followed by a short Q&A.

The World Peace Diet, which became a #1 Amazon best-seller in 2010, offers a compelling and liberating new understanding of our food and our culture. It has been called one of the most important books of the 21st century: the foundation of a new society based on the truth of the interconnectedness of all life. It is the first book to make explicit the invisible connections between our culture, our food, and the source of our broad range of problems—and the way to a positive transformation in our individual and collective lives. It has now been translated and published in over a dozen languages.

Signed copies of The World Peace Diet ( will be available for purchase at a discounted price. Donations to support Dr. Tuttle's work will be accepted at the event.

V-Spot Organic is the all-vegan, mostly organic, Colombian-inspired, beautiful Manhattan location (and sister restaurant to the extremely popular and beloved restaurant in Park Slope, Brooklyn). It is owned and operated by brothers (and meetup group members) Danny, Alex, and William Carabano and their thoughtful business partners.

This large 100+ seat restaurant is amazing, warm, and contemporary - featuring their exquisite, delectable food, and new dishes, plus a stocked bar. (The backroom is about 1/2 that size.) The V Spot has been a favorite of our group for many years, and we are so thrilled with this beautiful and large space in the East Village.

Please plan to have dinner at the V Spot since they are kindly providing the space without additional charge. It is a 'pay on your own' event, directly to the restaurant and they accept major credit cards. Please keep your RSVP current since we are reserving space and wish to accommodate people on an expected waitlist. The event will finish around 9 pm but we expect people to stay and socialize much later.
