Vegan Thanksgiving Lunch at Urban Vegan Kitchen - Venue #1

It has long been a tradition for our group to organize a Meetup on Thanksgiving Day, for those of us who are in the city without their family over the holiday.

We also warmly invite those who may be going later in the day to their family celebrations, to start their Thanksgiving Day with fellow vegetarians and vegans.

Urban Vegan Kitchen is a trendy American / International vegan restaurant on Carmine Street in the West Village. It is one of my personal favorites, and a late night hangout for some of our meetup group members. They have a large and delectable all-vegan menu. Please arrive promptly, by 12:00 noon. There will be one seating only. We will be meeting as a group outside the restaurant, and then entering as a group when their doors open at 12:00 noon. Plan to arrive early if needed, in order to be on time for our group seating at 12 noon. Thank you.

**TheTravel.com** listed Urban Vegan Kitchen as one of the "10 Best Vegan Restaurants in NYC" and wrote: "Feast on dishes like Korean BBQ "wings," Chick-un & Waffles, and a shrimp taco so convincing that it's real shrimp, you'll question if the staff secretly snuck seafood in your dish. Spoiler alert: they did not; their "shrimp" is made of konjac, a starchy root vegetable native to Southeast Asia."

For those of you who have never attended one of our Meetup events: this is an incredibly friendly & welcoming group. We'll be meeting right outside Urban Vegan Kitchen at 12 noon, and then walking in as a group when the restaurant opens. Everyone pays for their own meal. Easy!
